It’s tough enough to even begin asking God for guidance in our work: the local church rarely talks about it, and few of our Christian peers model it. What I’ve discovered over the years, though, is that hearing God’s voice at work can be even more challenging!
For many of us, work is a loud cacophony of impending deadlines, incessant distractions and imposing challenges. Often, in the midst of this noisy and fast-paced work environment, God’s “still small voice” calls out to us.
I’m not advocating a meditation chamber at work, but I am encouraging you to set aside time to listen, and sometimes wait, on a Good Word that our Lord might have for you.
The next time your lunch hour rolls around, how about making God your lunch date?
